Featured image is just a representation, no one knows what the dog looked like.
We know the header sounds like something straight out of a Steven Spielberg movie but apparently all of it is true.
The Incident at Petrich also known as the war of the stay dog was an accident that occurred during the Greek–Bulgarian crisis in 1925.
Where apparently the incident began on October 18, when a Greek soldier ran after his dog, which had strayed across the border from Greece. The border was guarded by Bulgarian sentries, and one of them shot the Greek soldier.
The incident caused casualties and death to over 100 soldiers and civilians. Bulgaria explained that the firing was due to a misunderstanding and expressed its regret.
Talk about bad luck, eh.
